Also internationally we must do everything we can to combat illegal migration, the Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister said on the Monday evening programme of the public service television news channel M1.
György Bakondi said it is the duty of the Hungarian government to protect the country’s territory, internal security and population. To this end – in addition to maintaining border controls on Hungary’s borders – they will do everything they can also internationally, including in the European Union, to change the seriously flawed migration policy that has been pursued in the EU since 2015.
Hungary is seeking allies in this effort: There are the Visegrád Four (V4), and they are doing everything they can also in further bilateral and multilateral relations in order to protect European Christian culture, the chief advisor pointed out.
He also highlighted that wherever socialist forces are in power every attempt is made, whether merely in words or also with deeds, to open the gates to illegal migration.
According to Mr Bakondi, there is a complex and complicated projection on the horizon as regards the future of migration which involves major threats.
He highlighted that migration has enormous reserves.
