The top priority is that people should try to prevent infection by staying at home, by working from home if possible and by ensuring that children also avoid the company of others, Örs Farkas, spokesperson of the Government Communication Centre said on Wednesday morning on the public service television news channel M1.

The spread of the coronavirus must be slowed down, and the only way to achieve this is if everyone understands that all personal contact meetings must be avoided, he said.

The spokesperson stressed that even many in the age group most at risk decide to leave their homes, despite the fact that in the present situation it would be essential for them to comply with recommendations and measures and to stay at home.

There are still more people in the streets than there should be, he pointed out, adding that many still fail to comprehend that children, too, must stay at home. Everyone should stay at home, the spokespersons stressed several times.
