The government is releasing an information film about the protection of jobs, the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Cabinet Office of the Prime Minister announced.
Csaba Dömötör stressed that they must talk about this because, together with the virus, harmful economic consequences have also descended upon us, and the government has adopted a number of measures in response to them.
He recalled that the government had suspended the repayment of loans taken out before 18 March, had extended expiring maternity entitlements, had suspended evictions and tax-related executions, and employers in the sectors most affected by the epidemic would not be required to pay contributions on their workers’ wages.
It is further significant help that tens of thousands of small taxpayer (‘kata’) businesses will not be required to pay their flat-rate tax liabilities, he added.
Mr Dömötör underlined that the government was making every effort to ensure that everyone was informed about the details of its decisions. “Because taking care of each other relates to the protection of not only human lives, but also of jobs,” he said.
