If a plan jeopardises the future of Hungary, the Hungarian people will stand together in order to take action against it together with the Government, the Minister of State for Government Communication said on the morning programme of the public service television news channel M1.

Bence Tuzson reiterated: everyone in the country received the national consultation questionnaires by 10 November, and some 1.1 million people have already completed them, which shows that there is a great deal of interest. The Hungarian people see clearly that when it comes to a question that concerns no less than the fate and future of the country, they have to take a stance, he said.

He also highlighted that they will launch a telephone information campaign about the national consultation. He pointed out: this is necessary in order to keep the Hungarian people informed about the most important developments. Regarding the tour of the country by leading politicians, he said that these forums provide them with feedback to determine whether they are on the right path.

The Minister of State pointed out that it is strange that while the people agree on the necessity of taking action against the Soros plan and the issue of migration, the political parties have failed to form a united national stance. As he said, Fidesz and KDNP have a very clear and firm position on this matter, and accordingly, the Government has taken the necessary measures related to the protection of the borders. At the same time, the rest of the right- and left-wing parties claim that there is no Soros plan and that the issue of migration is not so important.

It would be justified for the political parties to back the Government and the Hungarian people on such an important issue “because we can only take firm action together”, Mr Tuzson stated.
