Minister of State for Government Communication Bence Tuzson has told Hungarian television channel M1 that if Hungary cannot keep its Christian identity, it might lose Hungarian culture too.

Following a session of the Executive Committee of the Centrist Democrat International, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that Christian culture is an asset and it must be preserved.

Mr. Tuzson said that when talking about Christian identity, we are in fact talking about our own culture and its foundations.

He added that people all over Europe can sense that something has changed, and taken a completely different direction with migration. These issues must be addressed not just in Hungary but in the whole of Europe, since it is about the foundations of Europe. It is Europe that would need to find consensus on this fundamental question; the question of identity.
