Minister of State for Government Communication Bence Tuzson has told Hungarian television channel M1 that the National Consultation had been successful and some 1 million 680 thousand people had voiced their opinions.
The Minister of State called it important to ask people from time to time to voice their opinions on important national issues, because no such politics can be successful that is not based on the will of the people.
He recalled that the Government has been following this practice since 2010 and every important Government decision has been based on the will of the people.
He pointed out that a number of issues are occuring that are still unknown during elections, therefore it is necessary to consult with the people about certain important matters such as illegal migration.
