The national consultation has come to an end; 1,793,000 persons completed the questionnaires, Csaba Dömötör, the Parliamentary State Secretary at the Cabinet Office of the Prime Minister announced.

In a video message posted on the government’s Facebook account, the State Secretary thanked everyone who completed the questionnaire as, he said, each opinion strengthens the country’s collective fight against the coronavirus epidemic.

Based on the number of respondents, this consultation has been the second most popular so far, he added.

The questionnaires are currently being processed, and the final results could become available in September, Mr Dömötör informed members of the public.

“We will need this very much as the second wave is breathing down our necks. We must prepare for a protracted fight against the virus, and it is good to know the most important points of understanding among the Hungarian people,” the State Secretary said.
