The processing and evaluation of the national consultation on the coronavirus have been completed. As is known, Hungarian citizens were able to return the questionnaires by mail and online. The results were also certified by a notary public.
The first question was unique in that respondents could choose from among multiple choices in connection with restrictive measures. Results show that Hungarians support the wearing of face masks in the largest majority; 83 per cent selected this option. This is followed by the restriction of the organisation of events (79 per cent) and the closure of state borders (also 79 per cent). Social distancing was supported by 78 per cent, the restriction of the exportation of protective equipment was supported by 64 per cent, while the shopping slot reserved for the elderly was supported by 62 per cent. Sixty-one per cent selected free parking and the closure of educational institutions, while restrictions on movement had a 59 per cent support base.

However, these results provide a good basis for determining which measures Hungarians support most. They also offer experts significant help in making their recommendations.
