The government has launched a comprehensive information campaign so that all Hungarians are fully informed about the most important details of restrictions on movement.

In addition to short television films, hoardings posted on public premises and video messages made available via the Internet, the cabinet will also inform members of the Hungarian public through telephone calls.

In these voice messages, the government will draw attention to the fact that the coronavirus can now be present in any part of the country, and therefore we must further reduce the number of face-to-face interactions. People can only leave their homes for essential reasons.

The cabinet will also inform members of the public that citizens over the age of 65 years are only allowed to visit supermarkets, markets and pharmacies between 9.00 a.m. and 12.00 p.m., and during these hours, other customers are not allowed to be present on the premises. The voice message also highlights that these regulations serve to slow down the epidemic.
