Statement by the Government Information Centre

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that various pieces of conscious fake news and scaremongering articles have appeared on social media and various fake news sites with relation to the coronavirus. The government is examining how it could take action against fake news concerning the coronavirus.

The National Centre for Public Health is continuously tracking the coronavirus epidemic, is regularly informing the public, is monitoring international reports and recommendations, and if the need arises will introduce further measures.

We are still not aware of any coronavirus patients in Hungary.
