We must prepare for a protracted, multi-front struggle, the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Cabinet Office of the Prime Minister said regarding the second wave of the coronavirus epidemic on the public service television news channel M1 on Monday evening.
Protecting human lives and jobs is the top priority, Csaba Dömötör stressed.
He added that thanks to the successful preparations, however, there is no need for the introduction of restrictions such as those that were in effect in the spring. For instance, it was possible to start the school year. The government worked hard to prepare health care, the necessary procedures and protocols are in place, there are enough hospital beds and there are enough ventilators as well, the State Secretary said.
“However, we don’t know when it will all end, we need discipline and unity. Together we can succeed,” Mr Dömötör stated.
