From 1 September, foreigners will not be allowed to enter Hungary due to the coronavirus pandemic; however, the same as in the spring, there will be exceptions also this time, the Government Spokesperson said on Kossuth Radio’s programme ‘Good morning, Hungary’ on Monday.
Alexandra Szentkirályi said exceptions include business travel between representatives of a parent company and its subsidiary, and commuting within a distance of 30 kilometres of the border. Transit traffic, military convoys and humanitarian travel are also exceptions to the general rule, she added.
The spokesperson also said as – based on feedback – many people are not observing fundamental disease control measures, it is to be expected that in the future the authorities will pay much more attention, among others, to compliance with the rule relating to the wearing of face masks in designated places.
