On Monday, Government Spokesperson Zoltán Kovács told public television channel M1 that in certain areas, Hungary and Poland are interdependent: they have certain experiences in common and have the same view on certain issues; therefore they inevitably share each other’s points of view. These areas include migration, the issue of regional economies and energy security as well.

The Government Spokesperson also pointed out that there are many similarities in the past, present and future of the two nations, and they have similar visions as well: both countries want to strengthen their family support systems and the sector of small and medium-size companies. Mr. Kovács added that these visions might provide a vision for Europe that could be a real alternative to proposals that often lead to “dead ends”.

Talking about migration, Mr. Kovács said that it is possible that migrants will arrive via Romania or Ukraine, and in that case, Poland will be affected as well.
