Minister of Agriculture István Nagy and Government Spokesperson Alexandra Szentkirályi encourage everyone to buy Hungarian products.

On Tuesday on her Facebook account, the Government Spokesperson posted a comment on her recent visit – together with the Minister of Agriculture – to a strawberry farm in Lajosmizse. They thanked agricultural producers for standing their ground as agriculture and the food industry had to withstand a barrage of demand during the coronavirus epidemic, but they overcame the hurdles with ease.

She highlighted that the Hungarian government will continue to treat agriculture and the food industry as priority sectors. Therefore, they have helped the operation of these sectors with significant grants during the epidemic, and will continue to do so also thereafter.

Ms. Szentkirályi said it is important to draw attention to the fact that everyone can do a great deal for these sectors by buying Hungarian.

Mr Nagy highlighted they have created the virtual market termeloikosar.hu as an online shopping facility so that Hungarian goods can reach the tables of Hungarian customers also 21st century style.

The Minister encouraged everyone to look for and choose domestic products because they are safe, and represent guaranteed quality.

As a result, we can preserve Hungarian jobs, strengthen the Hungarian economy and guarantee livelihoods for many Hungarian families, the Minister said.
