According to the State Secretary for International Communications and Relations, no matter how much they deny it, the European bureaucrats are representing a pro-immigration position, and even though a significant number of member states do not agree with them, they are doing everything possible to enforce their standpoint.
Speaking on Kossuth Radio’s “Good Morning, Hungary!” show on Tuesday, Zoltán Kovács said they are also punishing countries that do not agree with them. “For instance, the are withdrawing development funding and fining them 270 thousand euros”, he added.
“The reaction of the European Commission and certain MEPs indicates that in its information campaign, Hungary has touched on topics that are real”, he said.
He said that in his opinion it isn’t true that the European Commission only makes decisions together with member states, because not all decisions require the approval of the European Council and each member state. “The Commission is using these loopholes to influence the evolution of migration”, the State Secretary said.
Mr. Kovács also mentioned that the European bureaucrats have spent 110 million euros on migrant debit cards to date, and transferred monies to 60 thousand people in January of this year.
