“The Government will continue its outreach activities even following the close of the National Consultation”, Government Spokesperson Zoltán Kovács said on Kossuth Radio’s “180 Minutes” program on Friday morning.

“Early this year the Prime Minister designated the most important topics and issues which at the time were already expected to provide the main points of discussion and argument within Hungarian domestic politics and in disputes between Hungary and the European Union, and these were the subject of the National Consultation”, de recalled.

According to Mr. Kovács, in recent months these issues have proven to be at the centre of discussions on the future of the European Union. “It is important that, in possession of the munition, reinforcement and guidelines provided to the Government by the National Consultation, we continue to talk to the people of Hungary about these issues”.

“Continuous dialogue assures that we do not lose the mandate and legitimisation of the Hungarian people, and that we maintain our relationship with reality and real issues”, the Government Spokesperson declared.
