The organisations linked to businessman George Soros often attempt to represent a totally opposite interest with relation to illegal immigration to that of the Hungarian National Assembly”, Government Spokesperson Zoltán Kovács declared on Hungarian M1 television’s Thursday evening current affairs programme.

This points beyond NGO’s right to freedom of expression, “specifically, it transgresses the borders of Hungarian sovereignty”, Mr. Kovács said.

“Behind Brussels’ every move with relation to illegal immigration stand the Soros organisations, which influence the decisions”, the Government Spokesperson said.

With relation to the fact that the Open Society Foundation, which is closely linked to George Soros, will soon be distributing hundreds of thousands of dollars among NGO initiatives in South Transdanubia and the Northern Great Plain region, acting in opposition of the Cabinet in this manner, Mr. Kovács said: “It will be worth keeping an eye on the situation, because the big question is, what will they be spending the money on”.
