Minister for Innovation and Technology László Palkovics received the Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates, Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansoori on 21 March 2019 in Budapest.

The ministers reviewed opportunities for expanding science, technology and innovation relations. At the meeting, they signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between their relative ministries.

Reinforcing and deepening bilateral relations serves the goals of sustainable growth and improving the quality of life, and encourages the exchange of new technologies and expert knowledge in both countries.

The agreement primarily extends to cooperation with the fields of the health industry and medical science, innovative technologies related to connected and self-driven vehicles, renewable energy, nuclear energy, energy storage and energy efficiency.

The ministers stressed that results are required as soon as possible within the fields included in the agreement, and accordingly they will be striving to organise expert meetings with the participation of researchers, university professionals, and the representatives of enterprises operating within these sectors.
