Hungary is ready to share experiences regarding e-mobility promotion measures, for example with regard to a supportive regulatory environment and e-bus fleets used in public transport, Minister for National Economy Mihály Varga said after he had received Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Martina Dalić of Croatia in his office.
At the meeting held on the sidelines of the 2nd Regional Digital Summit, the two parties agreed to expanding e-mobility cooperation between Hungary and Croatia, and to examining options for harmonizing the e-mobility strategies of the two countries.
As Croatia’s Deputy PM noted, the country was weighing the option of joining the regional start-up MoU signed last year by the V4 at the 1st Regional Digital Summit, which Slovenia has also joined in the meanwhile.
Mihály Varga also met with EU Commissioner for the Digital Economy and Society Mariya Gabriel. The two politicians agreed that digitalization must be given a larger role within the EU’s development policy. The Commissioner welcomed the steps which Hungary has taken in order to promote digitalization and e-mobility.
