The country’s economic progress hinges on enterprises with stable growth outlook that are quick at demand adjustments and spotting opportunities, Mihály Varga said at the presentation of the Awards for Successful Enterprises.
The Minister for National Economy noted that the Government is determined to assist, with all instruments at its disposal, those companies which fit into this category. Therefore, the current economic policy focuses on improving the business environment and corporate competitiveness.
Adequate measures appear in economic development programmes, the recently submitted budget bill and the related tax package as well, the Minister stressed.
Increasing the competitiveness of the Hungarian economy has become a pivotal issue in boosting economic growth. The Government is facilitating competitiveness growth through the reduction of corporate tax and administrative burdens, providing domestic and EU funds as well as through bolstering the knowledge economy, he pointed out.
The “Investor of the Month” awards were handed to automotive engine component manufacturer WOCO Ipartechnika Magyarország Ltd and NHK Spring Hungary Ltd, a producer of motor vehicle springs. The “SME of the Month” awards went to representatives of Bortársaság, a trader and retailer of quality wines, and Kókai Tömítéstechnikai Ltd, a rubber parts manufacturer.
In the month of March, the car-share service provider GreenGo Car Europe Ltd was selected as “Stratup of the Month”, while for the month of April the award was given to Allegro Labs Ltd, the innovator of digitalized, “smart” music sheets.
