Participation at the Astana EXPO is not only an instrument for bolstering Hungary’s economic development but also for reinforcing Hungarian-Kazakh relations, Minister for National Economy Mihály Varga said at the opening of the Hungarian pavilion at the EXPO. This event provides an excellent opportunity for presenting Hungary’s innovations concerning future energy resources, he added.
The Hungarian pavilion’s motto is solar energy, symbolized by the Tree of Life. In his presentation of products and innovations exhibited at the expo, the Minister said visitors could gain insight into new research results achieved in the field of energy savings and energy efficiency; renewable energies, cutting-edge architectural inventions and e-mobility. The Minister highlighted the solar sidewalk panels by PLATIO, presented also in a central pavilion of the EXPO.
As Mihály Varga pointed out, the exhibition was also an opportunity for Hungary to present our versatile culture, the historic ties linking Hungary and Kazakhstan as well as our traditional and high-quality products.
The Hungarian Government regards Kazakhstan as a strategic partner, therefore the re-launching of direct flights between Budapest and Astana has been a priority, the Minister stressed.
