Partnerships may expand concerning a number of fields between Hungary and Romania in coming years, Deputy State Secretary for International Economic Relations Antal Nikoletti said at the Hungarian-Romanian business forum on 11 November 2016, in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
The conference was intended to be a networking forum for participating Hungarian and Romanian representatives of SMEs. The event’s attendees included Hungarian and Transylvanian companies, local governments, ministries, diplomatic representations, chambers of commerce and industry as well as enterprise organizations.
As the Deputy State Secretary pointed out, Romania has been a major strategic partner for Hungary, as Hungary has been committed to strengthening the existing and bolstering future cooperation projects.
Cooperation is expected to get stronger in various fields in coming years, such as between SMEs, in projects related to transport and transport infrastructure, the energy sector, info-technology, scientific research and tourism.
“A new era has begun in the way we drive. Electro-mobility and autonomous cars have become everyday realities. Hungary has prioritized the expansion of electro-mobility in accordance with the Ányos Jedlik Plan, as it is also an EU priority, therefore we expect that cooperation will get increasingly intensive with Romania, among others, also from the aspect of development and regulations,” Antal Nikoletti said.
