Minister for National Economy Mihály Varga and Astana Deputy Mayor Nurali Aliyev discussed details of "Expo 2017: "Energy of the Future" and the broadening of Kazakh-Hungarian relations. At the first expo of Central Asia, organizers are awaiting exhibitors from more than 100 countries and they are expecting the number of visitors to exceed 5 million.
As Mihály Varga said, participation at the event will favourable influence the country image of Hungary at Central Asian markets. The Government is to decide soon on providing required funding. The Minister stressed that Hungarian enterprises are eager to participate already in preparatory works and they are also open to cooperation with the Kazakh partner on the utilization of expo facilities after the event.
The two parties also discussed Hungarian-Kazakh vocational training partnership options, the blueprints of which are to be drafted by the Ministry for National Economy, and the introduction of an e-toll system in Kazakhstan by the support of Hungarian experts.
