Statistical data show that the number of people in employment is up by 500 thousand compared to 2010. The total number of people with a job rose to more than 4.2 million last month and the hard work of these people also shows in the volume of Hungarian exports, Deputy State Secretary for Prioritized Enterprise Relations Zoltán István Marczinkó told public news channel M1, commenting on the latest foreign trade data released by the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (KSH).
Inflation rate lower in September 2015

In September 2015, consumer prices were on average 0.4 percent lower, year-on-year. Along with the significant drop of fuel prices, the free school book scheme of the Government launched last year also contributed to the change in the overall price level.

According to the Minister of State of the Ministry of National Economy, Hungary demonstrated an outstanding economic performance in 2014: the growth rate of the gross domestic product accelerated by 3.7 per cent, and as a result, the performance of the economy reached the pre-crisis level.

General government fiscal deficit reflects delay of EU transfers

The central sub sector of the state budget accumulated a deficit of HUF 954.6bn at the end of September 2015. Within that, the shortfall of the central state budget totalled HUF 1006.6bn, while the Social Security Funds and Extrabudgetary State Funds posted surpluses of HUF 29.9bn and HUF 22.1bn, respectively. Recently, the European Commission has lifted the earlier suspension of the EU fund transfers, but it expected to show only later in state budget revenues.
The EU must tackle the issue of migration-related extra costs at member states
