A final and legally binding ruling has been issued with regard to the fact that the Hungarian State acted lawfully during the utilization of state-owned land in the area of Kishantos. The decision of the Metropolitan Court of Budapest confirms the previous decision of the Constitutional Court, according to which the utilization of state-owned lands occurred in harmony with the stipulations of the Fundamental Law, meaning that the state land leasing tender system developed after 2010 is absolutely lawful.

It has been proven that the claims by the full opposition that the National Land Fund Management Organisation has acted unlawfully were unsubstantiated.

The Metropolitan Court of Budapest has made it clear that the utilization of state-owned land occurred lawfully, the calls to tender and the tenders themselves did not contravene any laws, and that accordingly no irregularities occurred during the tendering process that would have had any effect on the validity of the concluded agreements.

The opposition parties that have so far been so loud with regard to the Kishantos farmland have now also received suitable guidelines not only from the Constitutional Court, but now also from the Metropolitan Court. We expect these parties to accept the decision of the Courts and to apologise to the people for deceiving the public for years.
