At the invitation of the Swedish Ministry of Defence, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Hungarian Ministry of Defence, Deputy Minister Tamás Vargha recently visited Sweden, to hold a bilateral discussion with Deputy Minister of Defence Jan Salestrand in Linköping.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the security situation of the European Union, discussed the challenges posed by the migration crisis, and afterwards the delegation saw the ongoing repair works to replace the aircraft that had been damaged in 2015.

In connection with the event, one day before the visit to Sweden, Tamás Vargha had opened a temporary exhibition on aviation history in the MoD Institute and Museum of Military History in Budapest. Already on view at the fourth venue after the Baltic countries and Finland, the exhibition shows the history, past decades and present of Hungarian military aviation.
