“One and a half million pieces of protective clothing have arrived for Hungarian doctors and nurses over the past 24 hours”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó announced in a video posted to his Facebook page on Thursday.
Mr. Szijjártó said that in addition to the protective clothing, one hundred thousand pairs of gloves, fifty thousand coronavirus test kits and two hundred respirators had also arrived. “Airplanes will also be continuously bringing the equipment required for healthcare protection to Hungary in the upcoming days”, he added.
The Minister pointed out that Hungary is now also able to assist neighbouring countries in thanks to the fact that the China-Hungary airlift is operating continuously.
