“Saturday’s balance-sheet for the China-Hungary airlift: some 4 million face masks, over 400 thousand pieces of protective clothing, 100 thousand protective goggles, 30 thousand pairs of gloves and over 6 thousand plastic visors”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said on his official Facebook page on Saturday.
The Minister stressed that in addition, the planes had brought 400 thousand pieces of the pharmaceutical that has been tested and developed in China, and the use of which shows promising results with relation to treating coronavirus patients, according to international research.
“China has only given this medicine to four countries, one of which is Hungary”, the Minister said, adding that the protective equipment that arrived on Saturday is sufficient to care for ten thousand patients.
