“A further large quantity of protective equipment is now at the disposal of healthcare staff”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in a statement to Hungarian news agency MTI on Monday. “The Airlift between China and Hungary is continuing to operate”, Mr. Szijjártó highlighted.
“On Monday, 8 aeroplanes arrived in Hungary from China’s major cities bearing 11 million 100 thousand pairs of gloves, 110 thousand sets of protective clothing, 365 thousand face masks and 8.5 tons of the raw materials required for facemask production. Protecting the health of doctors and nurses is one of or most important tasks in view of the fact that it is only with them and with their excellent performance that the Hungarian healthcare system, and in turn the healthcare response against the coronavirus pandemic, can function well”, the Minister emphasised.
