“A show trial has been conducted against Hungary in Brussels, which has now come to a close with a political ruling”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said with relation to the fact that the European Parliament’s Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) has voted on the special report on the state of the rule of law in Hungary.

“Unfortunately we remember many similar conceptual procedures from Hungarian history, when the verdict had already been written long before the trial took place”, the Minister said.

“There is only one thing that Brussels was not concerned about during the course of this procedure, and that is reality”, he noted.

“There is a major dispute between Brussels and Hungary with relation to migration”, he pointed out, explaining that in Brussels “they view migration and the replacement of the European population being realised via migration as a value”.

“In Brussels they are playing according to George Soros’s music and representing his views and values, while in Hungary we focus on the interests of the Hungarian people”, the Minister said. For this reason “we are naturally sticking to our anti-migration policy and will not be allowing a single illegal immigrant to set foot in Hungary”, he said.

“We will protect the security of Hungary and the Hungarian people”, the Foreign Minister stressed.

Mr Szijjártó also explained that those politicians “who have now issued a political verdict against Hungary” have absolutely no right to condemn, “judge” or attack the people of Hungary. “It will be the people of Hungary who will issue a verdict on the performance of these politicians at next year’s European Parliament elections”, the Hungarian Foreign Minister declared.
