“All border crossing points between Slovenia and Hungary will be opened from Tuesday”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó announced on his Facebook page early on Tuesday morning.
In his post, Mr. Szijjártó wrote: “We are in continuous negotiation with neighbouring countries concerning the easing or lifting of the restrictions previously introduced at our borders. We have also taken a step forward this morning: during a telephone conversation yesterday evening with my Slovenian counterpart Anže Logar, we were able to share a piece of joyous news, according to which, in view of the fact that our chiefs of police have found the situation to be satisfactory, we will be reopening all border crossing points between Slovenia and Hungary today”. “This means that people can now travel between the two countries using all twelve border crossing points”, the Hungarian Foreign Minister added.
