“Another crossing point was opened along the Hungarian-Romanian border on Thursday morning, this time between Nyírábrány and Valea Iui Mihai (Érmihályfalva)”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó announced on his Facebook page.
The Minister wrote that bilateral negotiations on border policing achieved success on Wednesday, as a result of which another, the eleventh, crossing point has been opened along the border between Romania and Hungary. The border crossing point may be used by citizens of the two countries in accordance with regulations on local border traffic. “Thanks to persistent lobbying on the part of my fellow Member of Parliament László Tasó, people living in the area will no longer have to make a long detour if they would like to cross to the other side of the border”, Mr. Szijjártó indicated.
