“Another motorway link is required along the Hungarian-Croatian border”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó and Chairman of Croatian Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee Miro Kovač agreed following a meeting on Friday. Accordingly, Croatia will also be striving to enable the realisation of the M6 motorway by 2020.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó received Chairman of Croatian Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee Miro Kovač on Friday. The Hungarian Government and the Democratic Union of Hungarians of Croatia have jointly developed an economic development strategy within the framework of which funding will be provided to enterprises in Eszék-Baranya and Vukovár-Szerém counties.

In addition, at the Friday meeting the Hungarian party welcomed the agreement concluded between the Hungarian and Croatian governments on enabling two-way transport via the Hungarian-Croatian natural gas interconnector. They also agreed that the completion of the Croatian LMG terminal at the earliest opportunity would serve the energy security interests of the whole of Central Europe.
