“The plan put forward by European socialists concerning the establishment of a separate channel for migration into Europe represents a huge danger, and this must be prevented at the European Parliament elections”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in a statement to Hungarian media on Thursday from Bucharest, where is he taking part in an informal meeting of European Union foreign ministers.
The Minister was reacting to a statement issued on Wednesday by Vice-President of the European Commission and the socialists’ top candidate, Franz Timmermans.
“Migration should be stopped, not organised. It is clear that Frans Timmermans and the European socialists want to further increase migration processes aimed towards Europe in accordance with the Soros network’s order”, Mr. Szijjártó said. “The increasing of migration processes can only be prevented if the anti-migration forces achieve a majority at the EP elections”, he pointed out.
“This is also the subject of huge debate at the meeting of foreign ministers, since many governments in Europe are representing a pro-immigration position. However, I believe that at the EP elections the European electorate will be able to decide in what direction Europe should continue with relation to this issue”, the Foreign Minister stressed.
At the session of the council of foreign ministers, the parties reviewed the situation that has developed surrounding Europe, he told the press. “It can be determined that the EU is currently bordered by frozen conflicts from the east, and by crisis zones from the south”, Mr. Szijjártó said.
“There has unfortunately been absolutely no progress with relation to the crises surrounding us from the south; we have not moved forward with relation to the Syrian or Libyan conflicts, on top of which, together with the migrants arriving from Sub-Saharan Africa towards North Africa, there are a total of some 30-35 million people living in Europe’s immediate vicinity who could decide to set out for Europe at any time because of their life circumstances”, Mr. Szijjártó stated.
The Minister said that in his evaluation, in light of this the statement issued on Wednesday by Frans Timmermans, the top candidate of the European socialists, is particularly alarming. “We are clearly talking about one of Soros’s men, and if that were not the case, he would not have received Soros and the leaders of organisations funded by George Soros on four separate occasions in Brussels. He has made his plans clear: He would like to create a new channel, a new opportunity to bring migrants into Europe if the pro-migration forces remain in a majority within the EP and the European Commission. This is extremely dangerous to Europe: we have seen in recent years how great a security risk migration processes represent”, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade said.
