Following discussions between Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó and Secretary General of the Federation of Austrian Industry Christoph Neumayer on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade informed Hungarian news agency MTI that Austrian companies are reliable partners of Hungary.
The statement of the Ministry reads that Austria is Hungary’s second most important trade partner, and it is the fourth country in terms of investments brought to Hungary.
Austrian companies are reliable partners and they play an important role in the economic growth of Hungary, which is also one of the reasons why we already have four Austrian strategic partners, the statement reads.
In the statement, the Ministry also wrote that the nearly three thousand Austrian companies employ over seventy thousand people in Hungary.
