In recognition of his work of almost fifteen years, Coloplast Senior Vice President Allan Rasmussen was awarded the Hungarian Order of Merit – Knight’s Cross by Ambassador László Hellebrandt on 27 October 2014 in Copenhagen.
In September 2013, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Vice President Allan Rasmussen announced the expansion of the Danish company's Nyírbátor plant at a joint press conference. The investment of HUF 21 billion will create 700 new jobs so the number of Hungarian employees will increase to nearly 3,000.
On 27 March 2014, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó, who was parliamentary state secretary for foreign affairs and trade at the Prime Minister’s Office at the time, handed the “Company of the Year for Job Creation” award to the company at the Investor of the Year Gala. Vice President Allan Rasmussen accepted the award on behalf of the company.
Coloplast was founded in 1957 in Denmark. The medical device company currently has 2,200 employees in Hungary.
