Chief Negotiator for Serbia's accession negotiations with the EU Tanja Miscevic and her delegation paid an official visit to Budapest on 22 September. The guests were received by Minister of State for Economic Diplomacy Levente Magyar.
The negotiations focused on Serbia's EU accession process, and the support the issue receives from Hungary. The parties agreed that in current crisis situation that Europe has to face, the unification of the continent and the imminent integration of Western Balkans countries have become more urgent needs to be fulfilled.
Serbia's accession negotiations will enjoy privileged Hungarian support in the future as well. We urge the opening of the first negotiating chapters to take place already this year.
