“The Chinese authorities are supporting Hungary to ensure that it can acquire all necessary protective equipment from the Asian country”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in a Facebook post on Thursday.
The Minister explained that he had consulted with Chinese Minister of Commerce Zhong Shan, with whom “he has been maintaining friendly relations for some time”. “We assured each other of our mutual solidarity in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic”, Mr. Szijjártó highlighted. The Chinese Minister reported on the fact that the Chinese economy is in the process of being rebooted. “This is good news for us in view of the fact that China is our second largest export market outside the European Union”, the Hungarian Foreign Minister pointed out.
Mr. Szijjártó stressed that he had expressed his thanks for the airlift being operated between China and Hungary, which is making a major contribution to the success of health protection efforts. “The Chinese politician assured me that the Chinese authorities are supporting Hungary to ensure that it can acquire all the necessary protective equipment from the Asian country”, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade stated.
