Deputy State Secretary Kristóf Altusz paid a visit to Latvia on 1-2 December 2014.

During his stay in Riga he met State Secretary Andrejs Pildegovičs, Deputy State Secretary for European Affairs Inga Skujiņa and Head of the Secretariat of the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the European Union Kristīne Pommere.

The aim of the consultations was to exchange views on the most important EU related and international issues, as well as to facilitate both political and economic relations between Hungary and Latvia. Cooperation during the forthcoming EU Presidency of Latvia, along with topics of the EU institutional changes, enlargement, Eastern Partnership, energy security, security policy, etc. dominated the agenda of the consultations.
