Deputy State Secretary Kristóf Altusz visited Munich on 22 September 2015, where he took part in a roundtable discussion at the invitation of Bavarian Minister for European Affairs Beate Merk, had a meeting with head of European Affairs Jörg Vogel at the Office of the Bavarian Prime Minister, and held background discussions with Director of the Hanns Seidel Foundation’s Institute for International Cooperation Susanne Luther.

Following a private meeting with the Bavarian Minister for European Affairs Beate Merk, he spoke with the Czech, Slovenian, Spanish and Kosovan participants of the roundtable discussion about the migration pressure on Hungary, as well as presenting the Hungarian Governments proposed solutions.

The positive environment of the various meetings clearly confirmed the traditionally friendly relationship between Bavaria and Hungary and the similarity of the standpoints put forward by the two governments with regard to the issue of migration. Deputy State Secretary Altusz expressed Hungary’s sincere appreciation for Bavarian financial support towards the functioning of the Andrássy University Budapest, which will be doubled in future.
