“Following extended negotiations lasting more than two months, the European Commission has finally approved our request to be able to provide over 800 thousand euros in funding to Hungarian enterprises in the interests of increasing their competitiveness”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó announced on his social media page on Tuesday.
According to the Minister’s post, protecting workplaces and the order of magnitude of the undertaken investment projects will both bear major weight among the criteria for being awarded funding.
“This means that following the already extremely successful investment promotion funding programs, Hungarian enterprises will soon have access to another significant source of funding in the interests of protecting Hungarian workplaces”, the Minister said, adding that the Cabinet may be deciding next week on the concrete launching of the new funding program.
