A Hungarian Cultural and Community Centre will be opening in Hanoi next year on the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Hungary and Vietnam, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade said in a statement to Hungarian new agency MTI on Monday.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó held talks with Vietnamese Minister of Information and Communication Nguyen Manh Hung in Budapest, at which the parties also discussed free trade and investment protection negotiations. According to the statement, the Hungarian party welcomed the successful closure of talks between the EU and Vietnam, and Mr. Szijjártó assured his negotiating partner that Hungary is supporting the soonest possible coming into force of the agreements. A session of the Joint Economic Committee, the main task of which will be to improve digital cooperation between the two countries, will be convened before the end of this year, the statements reads.
