The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade informed Hungarian news agency MTI on Thursday that during a meeting with Turkish Deputy Minister of Economy Fatih Metin, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said that “Hungary is one of Turkey’s most important economic partners”.

According to the statement, the parties agreed that they will work together to exploit potential economic opportunities in Africa.

Mr. Szijjártó and Mr. Metin also agreed to cooperate on the African market, primarily in the field of health care and energy projects, the financial background for which will be provided via cooperation between the Hungarian and Turkish Eximbanks.
