On 29 May 2018, Ministerial Commissioner István Joó welcomed Minister Nguyen Van Binh, Member of the Political Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam and Head of the Central Economic Commission.
During the meeting, they reviewed the economic and political relations between the two countries.
They likewise noted that in recent years there has been a significant boost in trade volume between Hungary and Viet Nam and that there are several initiatives in progress which could not only ensure that the current level of growth is maintained, but also that cooperation between Viet Nam and Hungary is further expanded in the upcoming years.
