Reaction to Prime Minister of Romania Victor Ponta’s statements with relation to Hungary made in his interview with Reuters.

Hungary has always adhered to the joint European standpoint as regards the issue of the sanctions against Russia. The sanctions have a considerable negative effect on the Hungarian economy.

According to data from Eurostat, last year Romania managed to increase its exports to Russia by 5 percent despite the sanctions and the embargo. So much for the strength of the cooperation.
