“Hungary concluded a 56-million-dollar agreement with Mongolia on Thursday, in accordance with which a Hungarian company will be constructing an animal vaccine production plant and a laboratory in the Central Asian country”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in a statement to Hungarian news agency MTI following a videoconference with Mongolian Foreign Minister Damdin Tsogtbaatar.
“It is extremely important with relation to the rebooting of the Hungarian economy that Hungarian enterprises are also successful on international markets, and accordingly the newly concluded agreement between Hungary’s Eximbank and the Mongolian Ministry of Finance is particularly important”, Mr. Szijjártó added. “During the meeting, we also agreed on the launching of another tied aid loan program, this time within the fields of the food industry and water management, at a value of 50 million dollars”, he stated.
“We are celebrating the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations this year, and we are committed to the further development of relations, the foundations or which are young people”, the Minister said. There are currently 200 Mongolian students attending Hungarian universities with Hungarian state scholarships.
