According to Minister of State for Security Policy and International Cooperation István Mikola, Hungary could help Ukraine improve its business environment and competitiveness, boost foreign investment and strengthen the SME sector.
At the so-called „Ukraine Day” conference organised by the OECD in Paris on Tuesday, the foreign ministry official also stated that Hungary's fundamental interests include the reinforcement of the free market economy and a stable democracy in Ukraine.
István Mikola stressed that Hungary has an especially important interest in the success of economic reforms in Ukraine, given the fact that the Eastern European region is a priority area for both Hungarian foreign economic strategy and Hungarian exports.
