Hungary condemns by the strongest terms the terrorist attacks in the Northern part of the Sinai Peninsula on 29 January, causing the death of 27 and injuring dozens.

We express our deepest sympathy to the families of the victims and we wish quick recovery to the injured. This barbaric act against civilians and the members of the Egyptian armed forces is unjustifiable regardless of their motivation. We firmly support the Egyptian government in its fight against the terrorist and extremist forces.
