“In Hungary, it cannot occur that saving a human life is an issue of healthcare capacity”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó wrote on his social media page on Sunday.

In his post, Mr. Szijjártó emphasised: “In Hungary, we began the procurement of the equipment needed for health protection in a timely manner, and accordingly it cannot occur that the treatment of even a single patient encounters an obstacle at any stage of the coronavirus epidemic”.According to the Minister, 650 more respirators arrived in the country via the China-Hungary airlift last week. “We have all seen the terrible scenes that played out in various Southern European countries, but nothing of this kind can occur in Hungary”, he highlighted. “The danger posed by the epidemic has not passed, and this means that our work is far from over, and the procurement of equipment will continue”, he added.
