“4 million 100 thousand facemasks and 100 thousand test kits arrived in Hungary from China on Friday aboard five cargo planes”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó stated on his Facebook page.
In the video, Mr. Szijjártó said this equipment is also all destined to facilitate healthcare protection. He highlighted that the Hungary-China airlift is continuing to play a leading role in the success of healthcare protection in Hungary in view of the fact that the government is acquiring the protective equipment required by doctor, nurses, police officers and military personnel from China, just like everybody else.
“In view of the fact that we must continue to prepare for having to protect against the virus in the long-term, air freight traffic between China’s major airports and Budapest’s airport will remain continuous over the coming days and weeks”, the Minister said.
